Jessie L (Price) Mitchell

Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie L. Mitchell, age 65, will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Welch Zion Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Mt. Zion AME Church in Jalapa, SC.

Mrs. Mitchell passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital.

She was born in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Willie Lee Price and the late Ella Mae Brown Price.  She was a member of Welch Zion Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  Mrs. Mitchell was a former employee of Kentucky Fried Chicken.  She attended Newberry High School.

Mrs. Mitchell was predeceased by sisters Clara, Gertrude Price and brother Dolpheus Price.

  Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband, Griffin Mitchell, III; son, Griffin Mitchell, IV; sisters, Mary Suber of Newberry, SC; Trudy Price and Ella Williams of Columbus, OH; brothers, Willie (Alfreda) Price and John Price of Newberry, SC; Aunts Terry Hill, Mattie Cromer, Sarah Taylor and Jonell Cooper; uncles, Lewis Sims, Johnny Hill, Benny Hill and John Wesley Brown; mother-in-law, Susie Mitchell of Newberry, SC; other relatives and friends.
