James Bruce Renwick

Funeral services for Mr. James Bruce Renwick, age 73, will be conducted on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Trinity AME Zion Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Renwick passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his home.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Knowledge Cooper Renwick, Sr. and the late Bernice Hawkins Renwick.  He was a faithful member of Trinity AME Zion Church where he served diligently as a Steward and Trustee.  He was also a member of Bright Star Lodge #22 and Sons of Aide Lodge #60.  Mr. Renwick enjoyed working for John Wolf Company in Carlisle, SC for over fifteen years.  His disability forced him to retire at an early age.

Mr. Renwick loved God.  He was full of faith and determination, he was a man who loved socializing with others and lending a helping hand.  Mr. Renwick loved his family.

Surviving are his son, Bruce Ivory Renwick (Shawn);  two brothers, Knowledge C. Renwick, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA and Eltoria Renwick (Sallie) of Whitmire, SC; six sisters, Linda R. Doctor of Columbia, SC; Carrie D. Lemon and Dora Sartor of Whitmire, SC; Wendy V. Sims of Spartanburg, SC; Bernetha Scarborough of Dillon, SC and Vanessa Owens (Kenneth) of Hickory, NC; one grandchild, Lylah Renwick; two aunts, Martha J. Jeter and Irene Hawkins, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
