Frank Elbert Price

Funeral services for Deacon  Frank Elbert Price, age 78, will be conducted on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Deacon Price passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Spencer Sam Price and the late Julia Sligh Price.  He joined Calvary Baptist Church and served as Chairman of the deacon board and a member of the All Male Choir.  Later, he moved his membership to True Light Ministries and Ain't God Good of Clinton.  Deacon Price has not only impacted the lives of his family and friends but his community as well.  By being a contractor, he was able to improve businesses and homes and leave a piece of himself and his work all over South Carolina.

Deacon Price was predeceased by a son, Scottie Elbertson Price; sisters, Donzell Swittenburg, Martha McCullough, Adell Price, Sara Outzts, Annette Huntley, Willie Mae Gilliam and Shirley Thacker; brothers, Spencer Price, Sim Price and Joseph Price.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Thelma G. Price; sons, Min. Michael Price of Newberry, SC; Mitchell Price (Tracy) of Hamilton, Ontario; Rev. Stanley Price (Ruby) and Bishop Troy Price (Lisa); daughter, Min. Donzella Robinson all of Newberry, SC; three sisters, Julia Mae Glenn of Buffalo, NY; Elnora Brice of Maryland; Mary Price of Washington, DC; one brother, George Floyd Price of Newberry, SC; seventeen grandchildren, eleven grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Anita Price of Newberry, SC; sisters-in-law, Ida Mae Price of Clinton, SC; Rebecca Price of Newberry, SC; Marion Gary of Newberry, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
