Earnestine Brooks LeCote

Memorial services for Earnestine Brooks LeCote will be conducted on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.

Earnestine was born on December 11, 1957 in Columbia, SC to the late Earnest and and the late Hulda Brooks. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 4, 2018.  

She was a 1976 honor graduate of Newberry High School and a 1980 honor graduate of the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC with a Bachelors of Art  Degree in Journalism-Communication.

She was employed at Newberry Observer several years in Advertising and GLEAMNS in Newberry.

Earnestine will be remembered for her avid reader of books and history facts.

Those who celebrate her life are her daughter, Ayleah Hulda LeCote, Newberry, SC; sister, Louvenia Brooks Williams,Newberry, SC; aunt, Elnora Douglas, Newberry, SC; several nephews, friends, former husband, Leonard LeCote, and other relatives.
