Dorothy Louise Lindsay

Funeral services for Ms. Dorothy Louise Lindsay, affectionately known as "Dot", age 85, will be conducted on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 3:00 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Ms. Lindsay passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at her home.  Born in Newberry, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Fred Lindsay and the late Josephine Hendrix Lindsay.

Ms. Lindsay was predeceased by two children, Willie B. Lindsay and Gwendolyn Lyles; siblings, Willie (Buck) Lindsay, McAuthor (Bo) Lindsay, Laura Mae Smith and Ollie Mae Ellison.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Ann Williams; son, Rickey Lindsay both of Newberry, SC; brothers, Jimmy (Mamie) Lindsay of Newberry, SC; Willie Fred Lindsay of Richmond, VA; sisters, Rebecca L Rollins and Peggy L. Wade of Richmond, VA; twelve grandchildren including Jermaine Lindsay, Sr. who was reared in the home; devoted grandchildren, Shannon and Xaviera Scurry; Zericka Lindsay, Rakeem and Lakesha Scurry; nineteen great-grandchildren including Brandi Lindsay who was reared in the home; a host of nieces, nephews, and her caregivers, James Lindsay, Josephine Robinson and Marian Wicker.
