Delphine (Boyd) Greenwood

Funeral services for Mrs. Delphine Boyd Greenwood, age 53, wife of George R. Greenwood, Jr., will be conducted on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Hannah AME Church.  The body will be placed in the church at 12 noon for viewing.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of Earnest Boyd and the late Bessie Mae Toland Boyd. She was born on January 8, 1964. Mrs. Greenwood departed this earthly life and entered into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Lexington Medical Center.

Mrs. Greenwood was a faithful and active member of Hannah AME Church. She was a member of the Missionary Board, Usher Board, Senior Choir, Young Adult Choir, and Hospitality committee.

Mrs. Greenwood was employed with Kraft Heinz for 20 years. In addition, she loved to cook, bake, read, and dance. She had such a vibrant spirit and a love for everyone she encountered.

Mrs. Greenwood was predeceased by her sisters, Earnestine Dewalt and Elease Caldwell.

Those left to cherish her memories include her loving husband, George Greenwood, Jr.; daughter, Keundra Hair (Jamie) Gartman of Chapin, SC; son, Calvin Demarco Hair, Jr. (Breanna) of the home; sisters, Betty Ann (Randy) Stoudermire of Prosperity, SC, Angelia (Eddie) Heller of Pomaria, SC; brothers, Kenneth (Lorraine) Boyd and Randy (Barbara) Boyd of Prosperity, SC, Mark (Lisa) Boyd of Irmo, SC; grandchildren, Kaydrian, Kyrie, and Auri Gartman; mother-in-law, Azalee Armstrong of Newberry, SC; aunt, Vivian (James) Hair of Prosperity, SC; uncles, Harold (Lucinda) Boyd and Robert (Rosa) Boyd, Jr., both of Prosperity, SC; five brothers-in-law, Claude DeWalt, Willie Ray Eigner, Derrill (Annette) Greenwood, Brent Greenwood of Newberry, SC; Dennis (Harriett) Greenwood of Prosperity, SC.; three sisters-in-law, Brenda Trapp and Denise Greenwood of Columbia, SC and Tracy (Steve) Ellis of Anderson, SC; godson, Demarcus Heller; devoted nieces, Kimberly Boyd of Chapin, SC, Janezshia Boyd of Newberry, SC; devoted cousin, Harriett Greenwood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will truly miss her sweet smile
