David Lee Sanders

Funeral services for Mr. David Lee Sanders, 65, of 3543 B Grant Avenue, will be conducted on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2 PM at Calvary Baptist Church . Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

David passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at his home.  He was born on March 18, 1953 to the late John Henry and Louise Suber Sanders. He attended the public schools of Newberry County and  graduated from Benedict College with a degree in Sports Management. David was an impact basketball player for both Newberry High and Benedict College.

David was pre-deceased by a sister, Maudie D. Cooper, two brothers, William C. Sanders and Clarence Sanders and a nephew, Tony Sanders.

He leaves to cherish to his memories, one daughter, Nigeria Davis, two brothers, John Edward Sanders (Geraldine) Sanders of Washington DC, Richard E. (Cynthia) Sanders of Newberry SC, one aunt, Mrs. Minnie Suber of Newberry,  five nieces Mattie E. Scott, Phyllis A. Nance, Tracey Nance ( Harvey) Solomon,  Anita Nance and NaTreshia H.Griffin,; five nephews, Willie Nance of Connecticut, Richard Sanders Jr., Kavian Sanders, Naima and Nathone Mason all of Newberry, SC; a devoted cousin, Larry ( Margaret) Suber and a devoted friends, Shirley Sligh, Joe and Cooke Maybin; a host of other relatives and friends.
