David Davenport

Funeral services for Mr. David Davenport, age 66, will be conducted on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.

Born in Silverstreet, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Bennie Davenport, Sr. and the late Lizzell Scurry Davenport.  He entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. 

Mr. Davenport was a farmer until he retired.

Mr. Davenport was predeceased by brothers, Richard Davenport and Jesse Frank Davenport.

Surviving are daughters, Demetria Davenport and Coretta Davenport; sons, David Baxter (Hope) and Michael Hiller; sister, Lizzie Mae Davenport all of Newberry, SC;  brothers, Bennie Davenport, Jr. (Joann) of Blair, SC; Randell Davenport (Tassie) of Silverstreet, SC; Billy Ralph Davenport of South Bend, IN; Robert Lee Davenport (Renee) of Phila., PA; seven grandchildren, Alonia Lever, London Baxter, Tia MyKesha Henry, Davion Baxter, Jazmine Hiller, Jace Hiller, Jacob Hiller and Jordon Langford all of Newberry, SC; Shakema Baxter of Columbia, SC; one great-grandchild, Jaydon Langford of Newberry, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including Leroy Harmon and April Cromer of Newberry, SC; devoted sister-in-law, Linda Jean Griffin Davenport.
