Carrie (Sims) Moses

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Sims Moses will be conducted on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM at St. Mark AME Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Moses passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at White Oak Manor-Newberry.  Born in Pomaria, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Adam Sims and the late Emma Counts Sims.

Mrs. Moses was a member of St. Mark A. M. E. Church where she was a dedicated member of the Jubilee Choir, Missionary Society and Stewardess Board.

Mrs. Moses was predeceased by her husband, David Moses, Sr., daughter,  Mae Frances Moses and her siblings.

Surviving are her children, Sophie M. Wise (Roy, Jr.) of Prosperity, SC, Sarah Moses-Atkinson of Raleigh, NC; David Moses, Jr.(Ophelia), Jimmie L. Moses, Sr.(Janet) both of Newberry, SC; Henry Moses of Texas; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, other relatives and friends.
