Brenda Pitts

Funeral services for Ms. Brenda Pitts will be conducted on Monday, December 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hannah A. M. E. Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Life’s journey for Ms. Brenda Kay Pitts began on May 28, 1953, in Newberry, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Mildred L. Pitts and the late Senator Pitts, Jr. She entered into Eternal Rest on December 19, 2018.

Ms. Pitts attended Newberry High School and retired from Kraft Heinz after forty-one years of service. She was a member of Hannah A.M.E. Church where she served as Steward Pro-tem, on the Senior Choir, Finance Committee, Women’s Home Aide Society #54 and President of the Hannah Burial Aide Society.

Surviving to cherish her precious and loving memories are her Mother, Mildred L. Pitts; daughter, Mrs. Tammy Patrice Harp of Newberry, SC; sisters, Belinda Elkins Brooks, Gail L. Pitts, and Sandra L. Pitts all of Newberry, SC; brothers, Larry C. Pitts and Rodney S. Pitts both of Newberry, SC; one grandchild, Zion Danyelle Harp; one son-in-law, Albert M. Harp; nephews, Eddie P. (Centris) Elkins, Tyrone L. Elkins, Rodrick A. (Rebecca) Elkins, Edric Cureton and Joshua Smith; nieces, Eunicia Rutherford, Brianna Rutherford and Sherkia Pitts; devoted cousins, Barbara Moore, Mary Singley and Elizabeth Brooks; devoted friends, Mildred Simpkins, Brenda Penny, Kathy Mendenhall, Jackie Williams and Terra Person; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, family and friends.
