Betty J. (Harris) Williams

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty J. Harris Williams, age 80, will be conducted on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Belmont Baptist Church cemetery.

Betty J. Harris Williams was born in Winnsboro, SC, to the late Arthur Harris Sr and Lizzie Moore Harris on July 3, 1939. She departed this earthly life resting at her home on Thursday, September 5, 2019.

She was a member Friendship Baptist Church, Ninety-Six, SC, at an early age. After her marriage, she became a member of Belmont Baptist Church, Silverstreet, SC.

Mrs. Williams was predeceased by her brothers, J.W. Harris and Arthur Harris, Jr. and her beautiful sisters, Carrie Peterson and Henrietta Butler; and 2 grandsons, Adriane Williams and Charles McSwine. 

Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Earl Williams, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Earl Williams Jr. (Mary), Rhonda Williams (Lee Tucker),  Russell Williams (Ruth), Vicky W. Suber, and Solomon Williams (Roxie), her stepdaughter, Thomasina S. Tijerina, her 9 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren.

Betty is also survived by her two brothers Wilbert Harris (Catherine) of Ninety-Six, SC, Daniel Harris (Liz) and her three sisters, Rosa Lee H. Dobbs of Norristown, PA, Juanita H. Downing of Columbia, SC, and Elaine H. Sharp (Danny) of Atlanta, GA. She has a host of nieces & nephews, and cousins with a special place in her heart for nephews, Larry Peterson and Curtis B. Williams, and cousins, Willie Mae Brown and Chorsie B. Calhoun.
