Arnold Williams

Funeral services for Mr. Arnold Williams, age 83, will be conducted on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Welch Zion Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8.

Mr. Williams passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born in Newberry, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Bennie Williams and the late Elmira Abney Williams.  He was a member of Welch Zion Baptist Church where he was a former Trustee, Assistant Chairperson of the Deacon Board, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher, church grounds keeper, church bus driver, and retired with the honor of Deacon Emeritus.

Mr. Williams was predeceased by siblings, Daniel, Leroy, Sophia Kimble, Irene Patterson, Choicie, Bennie and Roslyn Williams, and Ella Mae Ellis.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Elizabeth Tomlin Williams; daughters, Debra Williams Greenlee of Chicago, IL, Robbin Williams Brooks (John) of Little Mountain, SC, Desiree Williams Boyd of Charlotte, NC, Amy Peacock (Dexter) of Prosperity, SC; sisters, Hattie Murray of Philadelphia, PA, Martha Thomas and Barbara Jean Williams both of Newberry, SC; brothers, Jonathan Williams (Demaria) of Rock Hill, SC; Tarrance Williams (Denise) of Batesburg, SC, James Williams (Brenda) and Benjamin Williams (Rubie) all of Newberry, SC, eight sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, nine grandchildren, Aisha, Kami, Brittany, Brandon, Sean, Marcel, Lyric, Nicholas and Jada; one great-grandchild, Milo; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
