Annette (Sims) Hill

Funeral services for Mrs. Annette S. Hill, age 84, will be conducted on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Hill passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, South Carolina.  Born in Pomaria, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Sims and the late Martha Chaplin Sims.

Mrs. Hill was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a member of the Usher Board, Usher Board Choir and the Faithful Workers Gospel Choir.  She was also a member of Women's Aid Society #10.

Mrs. Hill was predeceased by a daughter, W. Denise Hill; son, Walter P. Hill; sisters, Dora Jeter, Pastor Bernell Robinson, Martha Ann Geathers and Charlie Mae Sims; brothers, John H. Sims, Jr. and Raymond Sims.

Surviving are one daughter, Terri Annette Hill; three sons, Louis L. Sims (Bonnie), Johnny E. Hill (Tadina), Winston D. Hill; one sister, Barbara Dixon; one brother, Charles E. Sims all of Newberry, SC; 21 grandchildren including Natasha A. Hill (Austin) who was reared in the home, 29 great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Lawrence Jeter, a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
