Mr. Eddie Dean Heller, of Pomaria, SC, was born on July 30, 1964. He was the son of the late Alfred Heller and the late Elaine Graham Heller. Mr. Heller entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Mr. Heller was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School. He was employed at Norfolk Southern for over 30 years and was also employed at Mid-Carolina Country Club. Mr. Heller was known near and far for his famous barbecue and country cooking. He loved giving his time, support and sharing his cooking talent with St. Mark AME, Hannah AME and St. James AME for various church events. He loved his family immensely and was an avid fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks and Carolina Panthers.
Mr. Heller was predeceased by his sister, Nora Jean Heller and brothers, Homer Cromer and James Alfred Heller.
Those left to cherish his life include his wife of 39 years, Angelia Boyd Heller; children, Brandi Heller, Andrea Bookman (Jerrell), both of Pomaria, SC and Demarcus Heller of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Bryan, Jocelyn, Journey, Brayden and Jada; siblings, George Cromer, Jr. (Patricia) of North Pole, AK, Randy Heller (Renee) of Pomaria, SC, Samuel Heller (Angela) of Irmo, SC and Patricia Whitney of Pomaria, SC; uncles, Sim Heller, Jr., Carroll Heller (Boon Choo) and James K. Heller; devoted aunt, Deborah Heller Robinson (Willie); aunts, Vivian Mitchell, Bonita Lee, Laura Heller and Mary Graham; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; devoted niece, DeAlva Heller, devoted nephews, Michael Heller and Randy Stoudemire, devoted cousin, Eddie Richard Heller and a host a nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark AME Church in Pomaria, South Carolina. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public Viewing will held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 3:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel.
