Carrie Renwick Obituary
Ms. Carrie Alice Tobe Renwick, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the age of 74 in her residence in Blair, SC. She was born on July 14, 1949 in Pomaria, South Carolina to the late Phelmo Tobe and the late Annie Trapp Tobe.
Ms. Renwick was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she was a Founding Member of the Nurses Guild, a member of the Senior Ministry and the Norris Turner Scholarship Fund. She was also a member of Woman's Home Aid Society #119. Ms. Renwick was a graduate of Gallman High School class of 1966.
Ms. Renwick will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her son, Bruce I. Renwick; brother, Phelmo Tobe; sister, Leila T. Clark (George); granddaughter, Lylah A. Renwick; aunts, Alice Werts, Ruth Chaplin, and Ernestine T. Whitener; uncle, Reverend Timothy Taylor (Bert); niece, nephew, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Blair, SC on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Public viewing will be held at Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
