Willie Thomas Clark

Funeral services for Mr. Willie Thomas Clark, age 74, will be conducted on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Brown Chapel AME Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Clark passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Lexington Medical Center.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Mrs. Janette Clark Hailstock and the late Mr. Willie Hailstock, Jr.  He joined Brown Chapel AME Church at an early age.  Mr. Clark was employed with Brigman Contractors for over 20 years until his health failed.  He was also a Quartet Singer for many years. He attended Newberry County Public Schools and was a member of Sons of Aid Lodge #57.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Carrie G. Clark; five daughters, Malissa Clark, JoAnn Smith (Randy), Tasha Floyd all of Newberry, SC; Malina Clark of Greenville, SC; Malissa McCants of Winston-Salem, NC; two sons, Thomas Boozer of Newberry, SC; Willie McCants of Winston-Salem, NC; step-son, Randy Clark; three sisters, Jacquelyn H. Robinson (Billy), Vernette H. Abrams (Leroy) and Beverly S. Brown (Charles) all of Newberry, SC; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, devoted nephews, Roderick Abrams, Khuma Abrams, Roderic Robinson; devoted niece, Nicole Abrams; great-nephew, Tion Abrams; great-nieces, Khalia Abrams, Kena Abrams; great-great niece, Kensley Stevens; a host of cousins and many friends who will miss him dearly.
