Willie Albert Garmany

Funeral services for Mr. Willie Albert "Chuck" Garmany, age 78, will be conducted on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Matthew Baptist Church.  Burial with military honors will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 12 noon at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

Mr. Garmany passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Willie Garmany and the late Maggie Shelton Garmany.  He retired from American Fiber and Finishing and was employed with Newberry County Council on Aging until his health declined in 2015.  Mr. Garmany was a United States Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Wright Garmany; children, Cherie Caldwell, Andrea (Rendell) Sims, Temptress Wright, Kathy Wilson, Barbara (Daren) Moore, Kilawanta Wright, Johnny Wright, Kenneth (Stephanie), John, Craig (Bridgette), Pathetty (Teresa) Wright, Curtis, all of Newberry, SC; Terry (Rhonda) of Winston-Salam, NC; sister, Louise Livingston; brothers, Eddie Garmany (Donna) of Binghamton, NY; Ralph Garmany; 22 grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Cornell Wright; sisters-in-law, Cora Garmany, Margie (Kalvin) Brooks, Margaret (Michael) Glasgow and Janis (David) Wright; other relatives and friends.
