Willie James Clark

Funeral services for Mr. Willie James "J-Bird" Clark, age 70, will be conducted on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Mr. Clark passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.  Born in Newberry, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Cleophus Clark, Sr. and the late Louise Gary Clark.  Mr. Clark was a former employee of Federal Paper Board and attended Gallman High School.

Mr. Clark was predeceased by a son, Ulysses Maceo "Pee' Brown and a sister, Shirley Ann Gilmore.

Surviving are his wife, Rheta Brown Clark; daughters, Malessia Walker of Columbia, SC; Sheila Brown (George) of Newberry, SC; sons, Willis Juvar Clark (Bridget) of Newberry, SC; Cedric Clark (Kisha) of Prosperity, SC; Willie M. Brown (Sharon) of Saluda, SC; Stanley M. Brown (Jeanette) of Mauldin, SC; Lewis C. Brown (Teresa) of Prosperity, SC; sister, Mary L. Smith of Columbia, SC; brothers, Cleophus Clark, Jr., George E. Clark (Susan) all of Newberry, SC; Bobby Clark (Vivian) of Little Mountain, SC; twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two aunts, Rose Clark and Bernice Richardson; devoted friend, Corey Chaplin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 231 Boundary Street, Newberry, SC.
