William Henry Dean

Funeral services for Mr. William Henry "Billy" Dean, age 61, will be conducted on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Metropolitan Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Dean passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Palmetto Health Hospital.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Henry Dean and the late Hazel Dell Gary Dean.  He was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church.

Mr. Dean was predeceased by brothers, Paul Bernard Gary, Sr. and Charles E. Dean.

 Surviving are his daughter, Tarsha Worthy Caldwell of Newberry, SC; sisters, Vivian Clark and Jeralean Lyles (Carl); aunts, Lillie M. Adams, Vivian Moze, Inez Holmes, Barbara Arrington, Dorothy Davenport and Annie Bell Boyd all of Newberry, SC; uncles, Wilson Brown of Newberry, SC and Bobby Dean of White Plains, NY; grandchildren, Tarnisha and Javante'; companion Vivian A. Dawkins; devoted friend, Ms. Eleanora Douglas; two brothers-in-law, life-long friend and mother of his daughter, Lonnie Mae Worthy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Carl and Jeralean Lyles, 2221 Emory Street, Newberry, SC.
