Vera Griffin

Funeral services for Ms. Vera C. Griffin will be conducted on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Ridgewood Missionary Baptist Church, 5335 Ridgeway Street, Columbia, SC.  Burial will follow in New Enoree Baptist Church.  Visitation will be from 6-7 Thursday evening at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.

Ms. Griffin passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Palmetto Health Baptist.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Bertha Means Griffin.

At an early age, Ms. Griffin joined New Enoree Baptist Church in Newberry, South Carolina.  Due to work, she moved to Columbia, South Carolina where she joined Ridgewood Missionary Baptist Church.  She surrendered her life to Christ by becoming involved in Bible studies and prayer meetings.  She worked wherever the Holy Spirit guided, pursuing righteousness, faith, love and peace as she matured in her Christian walk.  Through the years of growth, God showered her with many invisible favors daily.

Ms. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Helen, Azalee (aka Mickie), Lula and Marie; brothers, Morris, Benny Clyde and Freddie.

Ms. Vera C. Griffin leaves to cherish her memories, a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and the entire Ridgewood Missionary Baptist Church family.
