Thomas Fitzgerald Eichelberger

Memorial services for Mr. Thomas Fritzgerald Eichelberger, age 52, will be conducted on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.  Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 - 7:00 at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Eichelberger passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Lexington Medical Center.  Born in Newberry County,  he was the son of the late Thomas Eichelberger and the late Saundra Ann Smith Eichelberger.  Mr. Eichelberger was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 26, 1981.  He served as a  regular pioneer for 10 years and as a Coordinator of the Body of Elders in Newberry South Congregation.  He kept the spiritual welfare of all the community in his heart and mind.  He conducted numerous Bible studies throughout the community with the former RBC building activities of Jehovah's Witnesses. 

Since 2005, he has worked with the State of South Carolina as a Building/Grounds Specialist, Supply Warehouse Manager, and most recently as the Building/Grounds Supervisor.  He performed cleaning and floor maintenance for many prominent businesses throughout South Carolina. He was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School.

Mr. Eichelberger was predeceased by mother-in-law, Bessie Mae Young and father-in-law, Willie Hermen Young.

Surviving are his wife, Evon Young Eichelberger; son, Gerald Tavon (Natheda Miya) Eichelberger of Newberry, SC; sisters, Sandra Denise(Benjamin) Young of Clinton, SC; Deborah Mechelle (Walter) Holsey of Newark, NJ; Barbara Faye Herbert of Newberry, SC; brothers, Christopher (Jannette) Eichelberger of Newberry, SC; Kevin Alfonsa (Filiberta) Eichelberger of Wylie, TX; William Duane (Lanette) of Simpsonville, SC; seven aunts, seven uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, eight sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, a host of other loving relatives and very special friends.
