Shirley Ann Reeder

Funeral services for Ms. Shirley Ann Reeder will be conducted on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Little Beaverdam Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Ms. Reeder passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016.  Born in Newberry, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late George and Elmira Reeder.  She was a founding member of Resurrection Baptist Church in 1973 with Rev. and Mrs. Lewis and was a faithful worker and member until her move to Garland, TX in 2007 to be closed to her daughter.  While in Texas, she became an active member of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship Church and later Mount Hebron Baptist Church.  Ms. Reeder retired in 2004 as a secretary for the Office of Management and Budget.

Surviving are her daughter, Mattie Sandra Chick-Myers and her husband Wayne; grandsons, Jason Myers and his wife Sakiko; Wayne, Jr., Randall and Matthew Myers; great-granddaughters, Milia and Hanna; siblings, Mattie Johnson, Bernetha Dupree, John Reeder and his wife Jessie, and Harold Reeder, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
