Sherman Oneil Harmon

Funeral services for Mr. Sherman Oneil Harmon, age 50, will be conducted on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Harmon passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Sherman Jeter and the late Elizabeth Allen Harmon.  He was a former employee of Kraft Foods and was currently a truck driver for Atlantic Trucking Company.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Chalmers Harmon; daughters, Valencia Jackson, Nicole Chalmer and MyKerria Harmon all of Newberry, SC; sons, Kelly Boyce of Spartanburg, SC; Xavier Boyd of Newberry, SC; sisters, Barbara J. Mathis of Newberry, SC; Kathy D. Harmon and Eugenia Thompson both of Columbia, SC; Meta M. Harmon of Newberry, SC; Doris Price (Kevin) of Pomaria, SC; brothers, James A. Harmon (Mary) of Prosperity, SC; Robert Jones of Newberry, SC; four grandchildren, ZaMarion Nance, Za'Maria Boyd, La'Zar Harmon and Landon Boyce; father-in-law, Willie J. Chalmers, Sr. of Newberry, SC; devoted friends, Jeff Pitts, Kim Ruff and Nathaniel Randolph; sisters-in-law, Louise Pulley (Johnny); Kathy Calhoun (Joseph) and Theresa Kinard (Derwin); brother-in-law, Willie Chalmers, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
