Sandra Caughman

Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra R. Caughman, age 63, will be conducted on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. John AME Church, Chapin, SC.

Mrs. Caughman passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Providence Hospital.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Leroy Counts and the late Georgia Lee Sligh Counts.  She was a member of St. John AME Church where she was President of the Women Missionary Society.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aide Society #97.

Mrs. Caughman was predeceased by a brother, James J. Galloway; sister, Annie Lee Hill.

Surviving are devoted friend and life companion, Jesse Nicholson of the home; estranged husband, Earl Caughman; daughters, Earline (Joe) Gladden of Irmo, SC; LaTonia (Jimmy) Graham of Little Mountain, SC; Donna Gibbs of Columbia, SC; son, Calvin (Karen) Counts of Irmo, SC; sisters, Juanita (William) Wood of Columbia, SC; Georgia (David) Pitts of Irmo, SC; Betty Mayers of Little Mountain, SC; brothers, Willie (Mildred) Galloway of Chapin, SC; Ernest (Josie) Galloway of Elizabeth, NJ; Charles (Jessie Lee) Counts of Charlotte, NC; Tyler (Doris) Counts of Roselle, NJ; fourteen grandchildren, Jerome Counts, Shumelah Counts, Terrence Counts, Sherrell Counts, Terrell Counts, Darrin Phillips, Travis Mann, Lorenzo Wise, Dustin Goodman, Jared Mann, Amanda Davis, Kiasia Hunter, Kentrell Caldwell and Jayda Graham; twelve great-grandchildren, aunts, Willie Lee Clark and Justine Tobe; God son, Stanley Cunningham, devoted friend for over 50 years, Sandra P. Rutherford; mother-in-law, Queenie Copelin of Saluda, SC; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
