Oliver Sherlock Holmes

Funeral services for Mr. Oliver Sherlock "Ollie" Holmes, age 26, will be conducted on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Miller Chapel AME Church.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Mr. Holmes passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015.  Born in Leesburg, Virginia, he was the son of James A. Holmes, Jr. and Eula Mae Holmes.

Surviving are his parents, James A. Holmes, Jr. of North Charleston, SC; Eula Mae Holmes of Columbia, SC; maternal grandmother, Eula V. Epps of Whitmire, SC; two sisters, Cicely C. Holmes of Atlanta, GA; Sigourney V. Holmes of Columbia, SC; brother, James A. Holmes, III (Valisa); two nieces, Genesis and Tatucara Miles; nephew, Doc Miles; aunts, Mary Lee Holmes-Singleton (Larry) of North Charleston, SC; Doris Epps-Abanathey of Greenville, SC; uncles, George Epps, Jr. (Bernetha); Ervin Epps (Margaret) all of Newberry, SC; Ernest Epps (Effie) of Berlin, Germany; Robin Epps (Charmin) of San Bernardino, CA; special devoted cousins, Kimberly Fuller, Ervin Epps, Jr., Candice Holmes, Jalisa Wilson, Keria Drayton (Brandon), Brittany Russell, and Isaac J. Aiken; Godparents, Gerard H. and Beverly Mikell of North Charleston, SC; The Iota Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and a host of relatives and friends.
