Nancy (Wheeler) Caldwell

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Caldwell, age 71, will be conducted on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Lower Mt. Olive AME Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Caldwell passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at East Orange General Hospital.  Born in Prosperity, SC, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice Wheeler.  She attended New Eden Baptist Church in Newark, NJ.  She was a member o Women's Home Aide Society #108 and a retiree from the Newark Board of Education after 20 years of service as a Teacher's Assistant.  Mrs. Caldwell was a graduate of Gallman High School.

Mrs. Caldwell was predeceased by two brothers, John Thomas and James Willie Wheeler; two sisters-in-law, Mavis Wheeler and Phyllis Wheeler.

Surviving are two daughters, Tilisa Caldwell of East Orange, NJ, Tiffany Caldwell of Newark, NJ; two sons, Tyree Caldwell, Sr. of East Orange, NJ, Terrence Caldwell of Newark, NJ; six grandchildren, Tyra Caldwell, Tara Caldwell, Tierra Caldwell, Tiana Nicholson-Caldwell, Kashari Woodridge and Tyree Caldwell, Jr., two sisters, Berdie Kelly (Matthew) of Newark, NJ, Anna Marie Greene of District Heights, MD; three brothers, Macky Wheeler (Faye) of Prosperity, SC, George Wheeler and Arthur Wheeler of Shannon, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that are left to cherish her precious memories.
