Minnie Mae Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Mae Davis, age 83, will be conducted on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Old Beaverdam Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Davis passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.  Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Shippy Dawkins and the late Worthy Dawkins.

Mrs. Davis was a faithful member of Old Beaver Dam Baptist Church.  She retired from Louis Rich after 23 years of service.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Lucille Dawkins, Evelena Wood; brothers L.T. Dawkins, Tommy Dawkins; mother-in-law Mozzell Tate.

Surviving are her children,  Almete Davis Newberry, SC; Mary Louis Jamison (Tommie), York, SC; Vivian Elane Dawkins, Newberry, SC; Brenda Lee ( Nina) Davis, Newberry, SC; Vickie Michelle Davis (Barry), Newberry, SC; Kenneth Wayne Davis (Mary), Newberry, SC; Bennie Lee Davis Newberry, SC; Johnny Brain Davis (Winderlyn Gallman), Newberry, SC; sisters, Betty Louise Good, Newberry, SC; Sarah Dawkins, Newberry, SC; brothers,  Robert Dawkins (Lucille) Brisston, NJ; Worthy Lee Dawkins, Gainwell Dawkins, 1 sister-in-law, 22 grandchildren including devoted grandsons, Fredrick Davis of the home, Dewayne Davis of Columbia, SC; devoted granddaughters, Melissa Clark and Tinkle Davis, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will truly miss her sweet smile.
