Merkus Montez Gallman

Funeral services for Mr. Merkus Montez Gallman, age 36, will be conducted on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Lever Chapel AME Church cemetery.

Mr. Gallman passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at his home.  Born in Prosperity, South Carolina, he was the son of Janelle Gallman and Claude Edward Bates.

Surviving are his mother, Janelle Gallman; father, Claude Edward Bates; son, Leland Brady Gallman all of Prosperity, SC; sister, Khandi L. Gallman of Newberry, SC; brothers, Jermaine Gallman (Shamar) of Newberry, SC; Jeffery Gallman and Jerrod Gallman (Amber) of Prosperity, SC; Brandon Gallman (Breanna) of Columbia, SC; five aunts, Rosa B. Gallman and Dorothy Gallman of Prosperity, SC; Brunelle Speaks of Batesburg, SC; Brenda (David) Jones and Shirley Scretchen; six uncles, Sylvester Bates, Willie F. Gallman and L. J. Gallman of  Prosperity, SC; Willie Speaks, Gregory Speaks and James Speaks of Batesburg, SC; devoted companion, Brenisha Jackson, a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
