Julia Ann (Swittenburg) Tribble

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Ann Swittenburg Tribble, age 66, will be conducted on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Flint Hill Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Tribble passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.  Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Donzell Price Swittenburg and the late Ervin Swittenburg.  At an early age she joined Flint Hill Baptist Church.  She wore many hats at Flint Hill and was the first and only woman Trustee.  She was also a member of the Usher Board, Missionary, Kitchen Committee, Pastor's Aide, Church Custodian and Women's Home Aide Society#23.  She was a 1968 graduate of Gallman High School.  Mrs. Tribble retired in April 2016 from Newberry County Disabilities and Special Needs after 22 years of service.  She was currently a caregiver.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Henry Allen Tribble; son, Christopher E. Tribble; three grandsons, Cameron, Caleb and Christin Tribble; sister, Lucretia (Lewis) Nance; two close nephews, Johnnie (Mesha) Taylor; Terrence (Leosha) Taylor; other nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friend, Annelle Glasgow; aunts, Julia Mae Glenn of Buffalo, NY; Elnora Brice and Mary Price both of Washington, DC; Veronica Jackson of Thomasville, NC; Rebecca Price of Newberry of Newberry, SC; Ida Mae Price of Clinton, SC; Louise Swittenburg of Virginia; uncles, Floyd Price of Newberry, SC; Ulysses Swittenburg of Thomasville, NC; Julius Swittenburg of Virginia; brothers-in-law, Augustus Tribble of Newberry, SC; Joe Wheeler of Prosperity, SC.
