Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Pearl Gallman Summers will be conducted on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in St. Mary AME Church cemetery.

Mrs. Summers passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at White Oak Manor. Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Marion "MT" Gallman and the late Mozella Russell Gallman.  She was a member of St. Mary AME Church.  Mrs. Summers was a former employee of Louis Rich.

Mrs. Summers was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Summers; sisters, Hattie Gallman, Betty L. Gallman and Mary L. Gallman; brothers, Thomas Gallman, Robert Gallman and Ulysses Gallman; mother-in-law, Essie Ree Summers; father-in-law, Johnnie W. Summers.

Surviving are daughters, Stephanie (John) Curry of Prosperity, SC; Valerie Gallman of Jonesboro, GA; Barica Summers and Nina Summers both of Bridgeport, CT; son, Richard Summers of Newberry, SC; four grandchildren, LaTiffa (Calvin) Wilson of Newberry, SC; Jaleesa S. Curry and Kadeja Caldwell both of Prosperity, SC; Koren Mayson of Jonesboro, GA; great-granddaughter, Kaedynce C. Wilson; special cousin, Emma Chaplin; sisters-in-law, Brenetta (Fred) Dickerson of Greenwood, SC; Brenda Faye Douglas of Columbia, SC; Helen Summers of Brooklyn, NY; other relatives and friends.
