John Willie Dewalt

Funeral services for Mr. John Willie Dewalt, age 74, will be conducted on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Miller Chapel AME Church.  Burial will follow in Trinity AME Church cemetery.

Mr. Dewalt passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, South Carolina.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Samuel Dewalt and the late Edna Mae Harmon Dewalt.  He was a member of Trinity AME Church.  Mr. Dewalt retired from Eagle Construction Company.  He also worked at Trinity Farms.

Mr. Dewalt was predeceased by his wife, Betty Ruth Anderson Dewalt.

Surviving are four daughters, Suelina Dewalt and Brandy Dewalt of Newberry, SC; Denise Vance of Woonsocket, RI; Tracy Barr of Providence, RI; sisters, Doris Sheppard, Mable Bouknight and Cynthia Wallace all of Newberry, SC; brothers, George Dewalt of Newberry, SC; Robert Lee Dewalt and Sammie Dewalt of Woonsocket, RI; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.
