James Wise, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. James Wise, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 9:30 am at Siloam Hope Presbyterian Church, 496 Spring Street, Elizabeth, NJ.  Burial will follow in Rosemount Memorial Park, Newark, NJ.

Mr. Wise passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center.  Born in Prosperity, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Walter Pete and Ineatha Wise.  He was an active member of Siloam Hope Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder, Usher, a member of Men's Council, Building and Ground, NPRO, Men's Chorus, Stewardship, Fund Raising Committee and Chairperson of Operation Warm Heart.  He was truly a faithful servant who loved God.  Mr. Wise attended Newberry County Public Schools.  He was employed with Atlantic Coastal Trucking from 1977 until his retirement in 2010.

Mr. Wise was predeceased by sister, Dora Margaret Ede; brother Paul Wise.

Surviving are his daughter, April D. Wise (Anthony C.) Jeffrey; granddaughters, Tiarra Sade Gardner and Leyana Toni Jeffrey; grandson, Jayden Izayah Douglas; great-granddaughter, Kaliyah Dominique Kelly; sisters, Nettie Marilyn Nelson and Cathy K. Walker; brother, Raymond Wise all of Newberry, SC; Bobby Wise of Maplewood, NJ; four brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, devoted and loving friend, Phyllis Wiley; aunt, Katherine Taylor, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
