James Edward Glenn

Funeral services for Master Sergeant James Edward Glenn, age 66, will be conducted on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Miller Chapel AME Church.  Burial will be at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM.

Master Sergeant Glenn passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.  Born in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Willie James Glenn and the late Josephine Brown Glenn.  He attended Miller Chapel AME Church.  Mr. Glenn was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps  and he retired from the Marine Corps Reserve.  He served in the Vietnam War and the Gulf War.

Master Sergeant Glenn was predeceased by a brother Larry Glenn.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Hodges Glenn; daughters, La'Precious Glenn and Quanesha Glenn; sons, Jamarcus Glenn and Frederick Cooper; brothers, Melvin Glenn and Harold Glenn all of Newberry, SC; two aunts, Mary Alice Parker and Frances Elkins; devoted nephew, James Wadsworth, devoted friend, Wayne Pratt, Sr.; six sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
