Henry Jones, Sr

Funeral services for Mr. Henry "Tac" Jones, Sr., age 92, will be conducted on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Metropolitan Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Mr. Jones passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Henry Jones and the late Lottie Mae Hair Jones.  He was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church.

Mr. Jones was predeceased by children, Laura A. Hunter, Henry Jones, Jr., Frankie Jones, Hosea Jones, and James Ray Jones; sister, Elaine Dawkins; father-in-law, Wilbur C. Hunter.

Surviving are sons, J. B. Jones (Iolan) and Anthony Ashley (Nicole) of Columbia, SC; twenty grandchildren including devoted grandchildren, Roxanne H. Good (Berry), Ruth Wheeler, Andre Hunter, Richard Jones (Connie) and Greg Hunter; 36 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Annie Mae Ellison, seven daughters-in-law, devoted friends, Gladys Oxner and Lucy Gilliam, other relatives and friends.
