Glendora Garmany

Funeral services for Ms. Glendora Garmany, age 52, will be conducted on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Fairview Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Garmany passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Palmetto Health Richland.  Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Dora Helen Ruff Garmany and the late Clyde Rutherford.  She was a member of  Fairview Baptist Church where she served as youth choir director and a devoted member of the Gospel Choir.  Ms. Garmany was also a member of the Newberry County Mass Choir.

She graduated from Mid-Carolina High School where she was a member of the Marching Band and softball team.  Upon graduating from high school she began her matriculation at Midlands Technical College.  Ms. Garmany has been a dedicated employee of Wendy's for more than ten years.

Ms. Garmany was predeceased by her loving mother, Dora Garmany; father, Clyde Rutherford; sister, Hattie Heller and nephew, Kelvin Gilliam.

Surviving are three sons, Marcus (Louise) Holmes of Saluda, SC; Lamar and Jamar Holmes of Newberry, SC; sisters, Helen Jane (Thomas) Chaplin of Whitmire, SC; Dorothy Ann Gilliam and Veretta Garmany of Pomaria, SC; Rose Garmany of Newberry, SC; Terrie Rutherford of Ridgeway, SC; Alfreda Pitts of Greenville, SC; Betty Sims of Spartanburg, SC; Sandra Rutherford of Newberry, SC; brothers, Frank (Gloria) Garmany, Jr. of Columbia, SC; Bobby Odell Garmany of Florida; three aunts; devoted nieces, Helen Jackson and Sheila Boyd; devoted nephews, Robert and James Garmany; sister-in-law, Linda Cannon; devoted friend Nathaniel Goodie; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
