Gertrude Miles

Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Miles will be conducted on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Werts Cemetery.

Mrs. Miles passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.  Born in Edgefield, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Jackson and the late Bessie Burroughs Jackson.  At an early age she joined Republican Grace Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC.  For the majority of her adult life she resided in South Bay, Florida.

Mrs. Miles was predeceased by her husband James Miles.

Surviving are three brothers, Levi Jackson (Elma) of Jamaica, NY; Eugene Jackson of Washington, DC; Johnny Jackson (Mary) of Clinton, MD; six sisters, Arlena Harris of Newberry, SC; Betty Burt and Shirley Jackson of Edgefield, SC; Pauline Devore and Ruby Crosby (Charles) of Bronx, NY; Barbara Cuthrell of Montgomery, AL; a host of nieces and nephews.
