George Edward Johnson, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. George Edward Johnson, Sr. will be conducted on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Johnson passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Lexington Medical Center.  Born in Prosperity, South Carolina, he was the son of the late T. C. Johnson and the late Lucille Johnson.  He was a former employee of Oakland Mills and he attended Gallman High School.

Mr. Johnson was predeceased by a brother, Willie Johnson; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Boyd; father-in-law, Andrew Lee Dominick.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Johnson; daughters, Renee' Johnson (Archie) and Sherry Hall (Foster); sons, George E. Johnson, Jr. (Melissa) all of Newberry, SC; Kevin Johnson (Beverly) of Clinton, SC; Kenneth Johnson (Katrina) of Newberry, SC; sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Delaware; Emma Nelson and Ruth Ann Johnson of Maryland; 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Lorine Boyd and Rudine Washington (Willie); one brother-in-law, Larry Boyd; other relatives and friends.
