Freddie Lee Baxter

Funeral services for Mr. Freddie Lee Baxter, Sr., age 60, will be conducted on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Metropolitan Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Baxter passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at his home.  Born in Newberry County, he was the son of the late Robert Baxter and the late Eria Kinard Baxter.  He attended Brown Chapel AME Church.

Surviving are his devoted friend, Sarah A. Werts; daughters, Tiffiney Baxter (Angela Thomas); Shonda (Cecil) Caldwell all of Charlotte, NC; Melissa Baxter of Columbia, SC; son, Freddie Lee (Angie) Baxter, Jr. of Columbia, SC; step-sons, Forest (Tammy) Werts of Newberry, SC; Anthony T. Werts of Charlotte, NC; Edward (Octavia) Werts of Newberry, SC; sisters, Dorothy (Gettie) Bowers of Chapin, SC; Mildred (Robert) Crooks, Rebecca Baxter, Carol Cooper and Thomasina (Obie) Eigner all of Newberry, SC; brothers, George E. (Johnnie) Baxter, Larry G. (Caroline) Baxter all of Newberry, SC; Jack Kinard of New York; Jeffery Baxter of Hartford, CT; eighteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one uncle, special relatives, Olnisa Gray, Noel Davis, Jeremiah and Jacob Houston; best friend, Joseph "Joe" Rhodes; three sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
