Fannie Mae (Toland) Kinard

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Mae Toland Kinard, age 101, will be conducted on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Kinard passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Springfield Place.  Born in Newberry County , she was the daughter of the late Sim Toland and the late Elisabeth Williams Toland. She received her public education at Drayton Street School. Mrs. Kinard retired from Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Kinard was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was the Mother of the Church, a member of the Willing Worker Club. She was also a member of  Women Home Aid Society.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.  

Mrs. Kinard was married to the late Joe B. Kinard.  She was predeceased by four children, Steve, Annie Pearl, John William and James E. Kinard.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are two sons, Rev. Willis Kinard, of Ocala FL, Anthony Kinard of Newberry SC,; two daughters, Josephine Crosby and Mary Helen Caldwell both of Newberry SC.; twenty-eight grandchildren, Ronnie, Keith, Gloria, Debra, Marionette, Vanessa , Micheal, Jackie, James Jr., Willisa, Sharon, Rickey, Lisa, Micheal, Washondra, Tressie, Shirnita, Tekesha, Natasha, Stephanie, Wandrea, Nikki, Katerra, Rusty, Tony, Antonio, Cherly and Shanora; sixty-four great grands, thirty-three great-great grands, four daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
