Dora Sims Jeter

Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Ellen Sims Jeter will be conducted on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Jeter passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014, at Lexington Medical Center. Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Sims and the late Martha Ann Chaplin Sims. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and the Usher Board Choir. Mrs. Jeter was also a member of Women's Home Aid Society #10. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence Jeter, Sr.; daughter, Cheryl Stewart (Charles) of Columbia, SC; sons, Lorenzo Jeter and Ray A. Jeter; sisters, Annette Hill and Barbara Dixon (Roosevelt); brother, Charles Sims all of Newberry, SC; three granddaughters, Christy, Madison and Kennedi; one uncle, Isaac Sims; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
