Donzell Gertrude (Price) Swittenburg

Funeral services for Mrs. Donzell G. Swittenburg will be conducted on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Flint Hill Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Swittenburg passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015.  She was the daughter of the late Julia and Spencer Sam Price.  She was a faithful member of Flint Hill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Missionary Society and the Pastor's Aid.  She was also a member of Women's Home Aide Society and the Helena  Brotherhood Society.

Mrs. Swittenburg was predeceased by her husband, Ervin Swittenburg; sisters, Adell Price, Sara Ouzts, Annette Huntley, Willie Mae Gilliam and Shirley Thacker; brothers, Spencer Charnell and Joseph Price.

Surviving are two daughters, Julia (Henry) Tribble, Lucretia (Lewis) Nance both of Newberry, SC; three grandsons, Christopher (Cassandra) Tribble of Abbeville, SC; Johnny (Mesha) Taylor of Greenwood, SC and Terrence (Leosha) Taylor of Columbia, SC; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; four sisters, Julia Mae Glenn of Buffalo, NY; Elnora Brice of Maryland; Mary Price of Washington, DC; and Martha McCullough of Newberry, SC; three brothers, George Floyd, Frank (Thelma) Price and Sim (Rebecca) Price all of Newberry, SC; six sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who mourn her passing.
