Clarrisa Lamae Board-Gilliam

Funeral services for Mrs. Clarissa B. Gilliam, age 37,  will be conducted on Monday, December 5, 2016, at 1:00 PM at St. Matthew Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Gilliam passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.  Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Martha Ann Board-Hawkins and Clarence M. Board, Sr.  Mrs. Gilliam was a graduate of Newberry High School class of 1997 and a Morris College graduate.  She was an employee of Kraft Heinz.

Surviving are her husband, Christopher Gilliam; sons, Jaleel Raekwon Gilliam and Jamir Dazon Gilliam; mother, Martha Ann Board-Hawkins and step-father,  Jeffery Hawkins; father , Clarence M. Board, Sr.  and step-mother, Shaquonda Bimbow-Board; sisters, Justinna McCarty (Emanuel) of Detroit, MI; Alexis Irene Hawkins-Syphertt (Marquis) of Newberry, SC; brothers, James Jones (Tamara) of Houston, TX; Clarence M. Board, Jr. (Tameka) of Newberry, SC; Jojuan Jackson, Jeffery Jackson and Javon Bimbow of Detroit, MI; mother-in-law, Catherine Gilliam of Newberry, SC; fourteen aunts, fifteen uncles, four sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.
