Funeral services for Ms. Sherri Denise Brown, age 49, will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Boozer Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Brown passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011, at her home. Born in Prosperity, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Furman M. Bookman and Mattie L. Brown Bookman. She was a member of Boozer Chapel Baptist Church and a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School. Surviving in addition to her parents are one daughter, LaTonya N. Brown “Nikki” of Newberry, SC; sisters, Lana W. Bookman; Marilyn Pitts both of Prosperity; brother, James M. Brown; two grandchildren, Nieam and Tay’Shaun Douglas; sister-in-law, Maria Ruff Brown, aunts, uncle, nieces, nephew and other relatives.
